Is there a way to add columns to the query results via JCL?

Right now it is quite cumbersome to add columns to query results by selecting from a list 1 at a time. The list cuts off after ? many columns and so you have to start typing the names to get at the column you want. When you need to select a bunch of columns then this is extremely inefficient. However, if you can prepare a JCL structure via text to cut/paste into a query then this would be efficient.

I meant JQL. As I understand this is the language syntax used by Jira to query for backlog data.  I am not a power user of the Jira queries but know SQL. I was hoping there would be a text command to provide a list of column names much like in a SQL Select statement.
