Is there a way of seeing all worklogs despite the lack of browse project permission?

DPereira February 2, 2024

Hi!

My use case is the following: my company has different departments and there are different projects per department. We have setup a permissions schema where users from a department have a certain role, and projects from that department is configured to only users from that role can see the projects.

In the meantime, we created a permission schema called "Archived" to hide finished projects from everyone except Jira Administrators. This schema basically only allows admins to "Browse projects". But this causes Tempo Timesheets worklogs to not be accessible to the users, except the admins.

Is there a best way of hide finished projects from general users but to keep worklogs accessible?

Thanks,

Hi @DPereira,

No, that is not possible. Your worklogs are attached to issues. If you can't see the issues, you can't see the workflogs attached to them. It's as simple as that, I am afraid.

Hope this helps!
