I haven't been able to locate a keyboard shortcut for archiving items, and would love to know if any of you have.
Hello @Sarah McCauley
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
There is not a keyboard shortcut to archive a work item.
You can view the list of available shortcuts by using "Shift" + "/".
Hi @Sarah McCauley, just to complement @Trudy Claspill's answer with a detail and a workaround.
The shortcut to open the shortcuts panel is documented as ?. On a US keyboard layout you get it with Shift + /, but on other layouts (Spanish, German, French, etc.) the key combination to produce ? is different. Either way, the underlying shortcut Jira listens for is ?.
Confirming what Trudy said: there's no native shortcut for archiving work items. The full keyboard shortcut list does not include an Archive action.
If you regularly archive many items at once, the fastest workaround is the bulk action from the List view: filter your work items, select multiple rows, and use the bulk edit menu to archive them in a single operation. Not a keyboard shortcut, but it removes the repetitive clicking you'd otherwise hit.
If a keyboard shortcut for archive matters to your workflow, raising the request at jira.atlassian.com lets you and others vote on it; vote count drives prioritization for these UX gaps.
