Is there a chart in Jira that shows all jiras in a sprint sorted by status?

I've heard of a 2 factor chart but not sure if this is real or not.

Welcome to the Community!

With a slight caveat that "sorted by" is a bit strong (the order may appear a bit random, it's determined by when the status was created rather than where it might be in any workflow), yes.

  1. If you search for the issues you want to report on (simple example is just "project = X"), and save it as a "filter" then you have a search you can reuse in lots of places (it will be re-run when you do, so you're always getting the current data when you refresh)
  2. Then create a new dashboard, or edit an existing one, and, exactly as you say, add a "Two dimensional filter statistics" gadget to it.
  3. This will ask you for a load of parameters, but the important three are:
    1. Filter:  select your saved filter
    2. X-axis: select Status
    3. Y-axis: select Sprint

I've suggested X and Y that way round because your list of Sprints is likely to be longer than the list of Status, but obviously, go ahead and swap them if it works better for you!
