Is it to possible to add a parent (epic) when creating a story?

I was wondering if it is possible to add a parent (epic) when you create a new issue (story). I am using a Next-Gen project.

Now I first have to create a story. Then go to the backlog and add a parent/epic to my story. It would be more efficient to add the epic immediately when creating the story.

Unfortunately, it is not possible at this moment to link an Epic during the issue creation. We understand how the lack of functionality impacts the efficiency of your work, so we created the following feature request to implement this option:

As a Jira Software user, I want to be able to add issues to epics in Next-Gen (Agility) projects from the issue creation view
