Is it possible to whitelist jira cloud by using a custom header instead of IP?

To avoid using an extensive list of IPs which may change in the future I would like to be able to whitelist jira cloud by using a custom header (maybe one using the account id similar to New Relics Synthetics implmentation). Is this currently possible or is whitelisting the list of Jira IPs my only option.

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Actually, JIRA Cloud uses a combination of Domains and IP Addresses from Atlassian and Amazon, however, the IP ranges provided in the official documentation does not change frequently.

That being said, I would recommend you to whitelist all the domains and IP Ranges in the documentation below. Additionally, click on the watch button at the top right corner of the page, so you will receive a notification in case anything is changed on it:
