I want to sync two Jira instances bidirectional residing in two unconnected networks. Like a git bare repository on an USB thumbdrive. Can this be done? Can it handle common merge situations?

Hi @Mek Akic,

This is possible with Backbone Issue Sync for JIRA.

With Backbone, you can synchronize issues between projects in different instances, and exchange the synchronization information via file exchange (it's most commonly done on a network folder, but a USB stick would work fine, too).

For an introduction to setting up this kind of synchronization, take a look at the documentation.

Feel free to check it out in the Atlassian Marketplace using a free 30-day trial license, or reach out to us directly at support@k15t.com if you have any further questions - I'll be happy to discuss your use case.

Cheers, Tom.
