Is it possible to stop a user seeing certain spaces with the Jira Standard package?

I need to add users and prevent some new users viewing all the spaces/ projects. I want them to only see one or two spaces. Is this possible with Jira Standard package?

Hi @Natalie Keane

You need a paid subscription to be able to make use of permission possibilities within the product.

The package makes no difference, it needs to be a paid one.

Free subscriptions don't allow you make these configurations, as permissions are limited.

Hey @Natalie Keane

If you would like to restrict users to view only 1 or 2 spaces, you will need to review your permisison schemes and make sure the Browse Projects permission is not granted to "Any logged in user" or "Application Access".

You may refer to this document for detailed steps: https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/create-a-read-only-user-in-jira-cloud/

It appears you have two posts for the same requirement, please mark the other one as duplicate/resolved to avoid confusion.

Thanks!

Thank you for your response, but it doesn't answer my question on if I need to purchase the Standard or Premium package to do this.

Hi @Natalie Keane ,

it depends as you configured permission schemes in your spaces/projects. My suggestion is to have permission schemes configured using project roles and avoid using groups/any logged in users within.

Hope this helps,

Fabio
