Is it possible to set Jira so that an assignment doesn’t get sent to assignee until the Start Date?

I don't think this is possible, I haven't even figured out a way to prevent notification at all when it is assigned.

Hi,

I wonder if you could (for yourself) disable the notification for assignment under your personal settings, and then use a scheduled automation rule to send notification on Start Date.  If this worked, each person would need to disable the notification for assignment themself.
