Hey guys,
Our team has 10 people, 5 of whom are admins. "Suddenly" some user from another project appeared in our team. So the question is: is it possible (if so, how?) to see who added this user in our team? I have searched the intire jira for this data but i couldn't find it.
Hello @Gabriel Santos
When you say your team, are you talking about a team defined through the Teams menu option?
If so, what are the settings for the Team? Is it set to allow anyone to join? if so, then any user of your Jira instance can join the team on their own. If not, then any current member of the team can add anybody to the team.
There is no audit log accessible for this when you are using a Free subscription.
Hey, thanks for the answer.
1: So so, I meant the users in this project.
2: a current member can add anybody.
If I make a contact with jira support do you think they can give me this log?

Can you confirm that you are working with a Free subscription?
Can you show us the screen where you see that another person has been added to the project?
In a free plan users should not be able to be added individually to projects. This is because the free plan does not support customization of project roles, assignment of users to Project Roles, nor customization of Permissions for projects. This is detailed here:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/what-is-the-free-jira-cloud-plan/
Users are granted Product Access and a role for the product overall. The user can be granted a User Role and/or a User Access Admin Role for the Jira product itself. If the user has been granted the User Access Admin role, then they will be able to give other people access to the Jira product. For more information about Product Roles refer to
https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/how-does-product-access-work/
Users who have only the User product role will have Project Administrator permissions, but that does not mean they can grant access to the site or product to other people or manage the Product Role assigned to other people.
You may want to consider examining the Product Roles assigned to users of your instance and reducing how many people have the User Access Admin role.
In addition people can be designated as Organization Administrators for the Organization under which the site/product exists. An Organization Admin can change the Product Roles assigned to the users.
If you are on the Free plan they you are not entitled to support from Atlassian Support except for a few specific problem such as a suspended product or a blacklisted email. Otherwise support requires you to have a paid plan.
