Is it possible to see just created and linked ticket without reloading page?

It would be really nice to have an ability to not reload the page while you create a new ticket and link it to the opened one. Steps to reproduce:

1. Navigate to an Epic ticket page

2. Click on "+" to create a new related ticket

3. Fill required fields in the popup and link the new ticket to the Epic

4. Click "Save". Popup with the new ticket will be automatically closed, but no new ticket is shown in "linked issues" block on the Epic page

Is it possible to fix that?

Hello @sona.beilarava

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Sorry, but I believe I didn't quite understand the exact steps you are following to reproduce the issue. Please, allow me to bring some context so we can confirm we are on the same page here:

In the Epic view, you can indeed create a new child issue by clicking in the "+" button, however, this is not related to the linked issues panel.

Basically, when you create child issues they are not supposed to be added as a blocked linked issue to the Epic unless you have configured an Automation rule to do that under project settings > Project Automation. Can you confirm if that's the case?

The scenario above would explain why the issue appear as linked after the refresh, since the automation rule would run posteriorly to the issue creation.

Additional to that, when creating an issue from Epics. they are appearing right way as a child issue in the Epic view. Can you confirm if that's the case for you too?

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @Petter Gonçalves

Sorry if my original message wasn't clear enough.

Let me add some screenshots to clarify steps.

1. Open a ticket (let's call it ticket A)

2. Click on "+" icon to create a new related ticket (let's call it ticket B)Screen Shot 2020-04-15 at 3.32.17 PM.png3.  Fill the required fields in the popup and link the ticket B to ticket A.

Screen Shot 2020-04-15 at 3.36.28 PM.pngI've marked the field where I'm selecting ticket A. Click "Create".

4. No new tickets are shown in the Linked issues block - ticket A appears there only after a page reload. It is ok when you only link a couple of issues, but it quickly becomes annoying when you are creating a lot of related issues.Screen Shot 2020-04-15 at 3.32.17 PM 2.png

Hope that helps!

Hi @Petter Gonçalves!

Sorry if my initial question wasn't clear enough. I think the following relates not only to Epics, but to linking issues in general.

Let me try to explain again:

1. Navigate to a ticket page (let's call it "Ticket A") and click the "+" icon:

2. A ticket creation modal pops up. Fill all the required fields and select Ticket A from the previous step in the Link field (see screenshot below). Finish the ticket creation process, and let's call this newly created ticket "Ticket B".

Expected result: Ticket B is shown in Ticket A's Linked issues block without a page reload.

Actual result: Ticket B is not shown in Ticket A's Linked issues block (see screenshot below).
