I went to create a Kanban board from an existing board. I thought this was a copy and began to delete specific tasks within the new board I created, not knowing that I was in fact deleting the tasks themselves in all the boards.
Is there any way I can get them back? Maybe reset to a prior version?
Not easily. Delete really does mean delete - you've destroyed the issues in the database, the only thing left of them is a hole in the numbers and a line in the audit log.
To get anything back, you'll need to restore a backup from before you deleted. As that will completely roll your system back, most people will restore to a temporary dev system and then try to move the issue back from there into the system they deleted from. Whatever you do, it's a LOT of work.
@keith carlson, welcome to the Community. First let me convey that issues don't belong to boards they belong to Projects. With that said, how did you "delete" tasks? If you truly deleted them (bad practice for sure) by going to the issue and select Delete then they are gone as gone can be. However, if somehow you filtered them out of your board then you simply need to modify the filter to display them on the board. If you are doing regular backups then you can certainly restore the latest backup but be aware that any changes since the backup will be lost obviously.

OK, thanks Jack, that is what I feared, I deleted them by going to the issue and selecting "delete" from the drop down. I will check on the backups, that's my last hope. Thank you
