Is it possible to grant view only access for a project to someone without a licence?

Becky Sanger June 20, 2018

I have some people interested in viewing the issues in JIRA within a particular project but they don't currently have licenses assigned to them. Is it possible to grant them a 'view only' form of access without a license?

Hello @Becky Sanger

Yes it's very much possible to have jira projects be given "Anonymous access" i.e. Users can browse the projects without the need to login and thus they won't count towards user license.

Please read about it here

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/allowing-anonymous-access-to-your-project-779172888.html

But please be aware that this makes your jira projects open to everyone on the internet.
