So, I have an issue with my Epic percentage of completion. Consider my Epic A has 10 child issues and one of those child issues is a ticket named 'Issue -A' which has 5 more child issues linked to it. Now I have closed 3 out of 5 of those child issues so the status bar in Issue - A shows 60% but the percentage is not being reflected in the main Epic. Is there anyway that I can resolve this?
Hello @Niharika Gadde
Welcome to the community.
There is not a native Jira solution for this. The progress bar for Epics is based on a simple count of the Epic's child issues and the status of those issues, so it cannot account for child issues that are partially completed.
Better Excel Exporter for Jira Cloud is a great app for creating an Epic report from Jira.
It comes with dedicated templates for Jira Software metrics, including one for epics.
Give it a try and let us know if you need help achieving your requirement!
(Please note that Better Excel Exporter is a paid and supported app and I'm part of the team developing it!)
