Is it possible to export Progress % on Epics and Initiatives into a Google Sheet?

Austin Bay April 19, 2021

We want to automate executive reporting and need the ability to export progress on Epics and Initiatives based on the number of linked Stories/Tasks assigned.

Is there a way to do this with Jira Premium?

Probably not hard to do, but how are you measuring "progress"?

Austin Bay April 19, 2021

I want to measure progress in two distinct ways

Epics

(Tasks Completed)/(Total Tasks)

Initiatives

(Epics Completed)/(Total Epics)

Ok, the raw data is there in Jira, and you can create gadgets or reports in Jira that will show you that.  But there's nothing you can export to a spreadsheet.

The closest you could get is to export the epics, initiatives and tasks and then use functions in the spreadsheet to do the counting and arithmetic to get you the percentages.

Can you direct me to which gadget/report would generate this?
