Is it possible to display last comment based on permission level?

I have successfully applied the automation functionality to copy the last comment into a custom field, however is it possible to limit the automation so it only does so based on the comment permission level?

We have internal comments and public comments, and I only want the public comments to be copied into this public custom field.
