Is it possible to create a waterfall model project on Jira?

There isn't a Waterfall Project Template - but that doesn't stop you from implementing a Waterfall methodology into Jira (or any methodology for that matter).

As Waterfall is for projects completed in a linear fashion - I'd use the Company-managed Kanban template.

That way, you can...

• Still track the flow of work end-to-end
• Customise the configuration to more suit how your team uses Waterfall - for example, change the Workflow to not allow open transitions - ensure work items only move forward
