Is it possible to add an existing custom field from another non-new gen project to a next gen projec

I have several project in our Jira implementation, some Next Gen projects and I have older non-Next Gen projects.

I have defined some custom fields in the older projects and I would like to know if it is possible to add those fields to the newer Next projects because we have existing integrations that refer to those fields.
