Is it mandatory to assign user names in default reviewers? Why cannot we use reviewer group?

I want to add default reviewers to my repository. This I have done. But I want to add reviewer group which I have created and assign the same to default reviewers. I don't want to search for the names every time but rather I want to use the reviewer group as default reviewers so every time a PR is raised those reviewers automatically get the PR notification.
