Is it compatible to upgrade Jira 7.12 to 8.8 or latest

Hi All,

Planning to  upgrade Jira 7.12 to 8.8 or latest. is it possible? what challenges .

For 8.x what other software's to be upgraded like java, MySQL..etc

Please suggest.

Hi @Ramesh Anegondi , 

it is possible to upgrade directly from Jira 7.12 to the latest 8.x release.

In the latest Jira releases, MySQL 5.5 is not supported anymore as you can see here : https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/supported-platforms-938846830.html

Otherwise you can keep your current Java version.
