Is it a Probblem when we don't Turn off the SET NOCOUNT option in de MSSQL database?

We want to migrate our h2 db to mssql db. In the page:

1.7 we have to turn off the set nocount option. What would happen, if we don set this option?

Some of the queries Jira runs against the database will return invalid results which will break the process Jira is trying to do.  This mostly leads to broken reports and issue views, but can lead to corrupt data as well.
