Is it Possible to create a new gadget or customize gadget?

I am looking for specific Defect Report by using "Defect Created Date" field to see the new defect trend for one week. Is it possible to achieve this with existing Gadgets?

I tried with most of the existing gadgets and I don't find "Ticket Created Date" field to add to the gadget. Is it possible to add new JIRA field for the existing gadget?

Issue created date is logged in the field "created" which will appear as an option when you're using gadgets that use date fields as a parameter.
