Hello Friends,

I want to install Jira 7.12. I have some questions regarding Apache Tomcat.

Is tomcat really needed to install Jira 7.12 ?

What version comes bundled with the jira 7.12 ?

I was planning to download tomcat version 9 on centos 7.. Will it be compatible with the new version ?

Thanks

Hello,

You do not need to install a separate Tomcat in your server. It goes bundled with Jira distribution file. Just install Jira as it is written here:
