After a renewal I cannot see my License Key information at my.atlassian.com > View License because it is giving me Invalid Server ID error. I'm using copy paste, without white spaces, from Jira > System > System Info > Server ID

Jira Version: 8.4.1

Server ID: 228d126f-****-****-****-bb603f917c31

SEN: SEN-14859357

Thanks

Hi Pedro,

I understand that you're trying to apply a new license to Jira Server, however you are getting an invalid Server ID in this process.  Unfortunately, it appears as thought he format of your server id here looks like the format we have Jira Cloud instances in.

Do you know if perhaps you have migrated this Jira site from Cloud to Server at some point in the past?  If so, then I suspect you have encountered this bug JRASERVER-66787.  Sorry to report that this bug will prevent you from being able to get a valid Server ID in the current state.

But we do have a steps you can follow to correct this problem.  Please check out the knowledgebase article of Change the server ID for an instance of Jira server.  It has steps that you can follow to generate a new Server ID and then use a few SQL commands in order to apply this to your Jira site.  This way you can then restart Jira and have it use a valid Server ID.  Note though that doing this will break any existing application links, since those use the Server ID as a unique identifier of this Jira site.

Try these steps and let me know if you run into any problems with this.

Andy
