Integrating jira and gitlab

          I need to integrate my self-hosted gitlab and jira server. How will do that without using any tools??

My apologies in advance if this is answered elsewhere.

I see in the documentation that a single project in GitLab may be mapped to an entire instance of JIRA. We are concerned about access control to our source code. We would like to have code be readable in JIRA only by those people who have access to those GitLab repositories. We have personnel who need to be able to see the JIRA tickets, but NOT the code associated with checkins for those specific tickets. Is there a plugin that allows this, or some other method of accomplishing this? Many thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
