I am as good as totally inexperienced in installing software on a server.
I can install Wordpress and such things but I have no idea how I have to install jira.
The manual sounds for me like to install Jira on a Linux PC but I want to install is on my server > https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/installing-jira-applications-on-linux-938846841.html#InstallingJIRAapplicationsonLinux-2.Runtheinstaller
Is there anywhere a installer guide for totally inexperienced people?
If not, then that was a very short test of the Jira software :(
Thanks
@Michael Installing on a server is essentially the same as installing to a PC using the command line.
All you need to do verify that the OS running on the machine that you want to be your server is compatible per the list from the link you mentioned, create your SQL database, then install Jira based on the instructions from the page you are referencing.
If server setup is not your thing then you may want to run a trial of Jira Software Cloud which requires no setup and offers a lot of the same features.
