Most of the tickets (and points) are in the To Do column for this board; which in turn is configured with only "blue" statuses, yet the insights side panel is showing that all the work is either in progress or done.
Any ideas on what could be misconfigured here?

I'd suggest to review firstly the workflow to see if the status's have been matched to the correct workflow status colour? Additionally, it would be useful to review your board configuration to see what status is mapped to what column, because if it's on the same "category" as in progress, then perhaps that might be the issue? If those are not the solutions, then I'd advise to share the dashboard gadget set up!

To add to @Ashley Hudson answer, the colors you see in Insights is based on the status category that you have assigned your statuses to. Gray is todo, blue is in progress, and green is done. So if your status to do is assigned the category in progress that would explain why Insights is showing those issues as in progress.

So our config is blue => todo
yellow => in progress
green => done.
