I am writing to inquire about a recent notification email I received. I would like to clarify a couple of points regarding my current subscription status and billing.
1. Reason for the Bill Charges on an Unsubscribed Paid Account
An estimated bill of USD 73.20 is being charged for 'Jira Premium Monthly' on my workspace. However, I have never explicitly subscribed to or signed up for any paid plans. Could you please clarify why this premium plan has been applied to my account and why this amount is being billed? (e.g., expiration of an automatic trial period or upgrade due to user limits).
2. Impact of Subscription Deactivation and Data Deletion Scope
If my subscription is deactivated, I will lose product access and my data will be permanently deleted soon after. At the same time, it notes that I can switch back to a Free plan by reducing the user count. If I choose not to add payment details and let the current subscription deactivate, will my entire workspace and all its data be permanently deleted? Or will it automatically downgrade to a Free plan with only the premium features locked while preserving my existing data? I would like to know exactly which items or features will become unavailable.
Hello @Noel Reynolds
1. For questions about billing you need to contact the Atlassian Billing Support team. You can do that through the following page:
atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing
Here we are a user community and we don't have access to billing information for your account.
2. If you take no action your subscription with NOT be automatically downgraded to a Free subscription. If you do not pay the bill and do not proactively takes steps to address that and downgrade your subscription then your subscriptions will be deactivated. Then you will need to work with Atlassian Billing Support to get them reactivated.
With regard to the different features available between the Free and Premium plans, refer to what each plan includes here:
