Subject: Inquiry About Downgrading to Free Plan and Storage Usage

Dear Jira Support,

I hope you’re doing well.

We currently have 8 users on the Standard plan and are considering downgrading to the Free plan. Before proceeding, I have a few questions:

  1. If we downgrade to the Free plan, will we lose any data or features?
  2. How much storage have we used so far, and where can I check this information?
  3. I am unable to add another payment method to our account. Could you assist me with this issue?

Your guidance on these matters would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Shivani Vishwakarma

Hi Shivani,

Welcome to community :)

  1. If we downgrade to the Free plan, will we lose any data or features?

So here you would look access to edit permission scheme  and many other standard feature like automation limit, etc and you will be entitled to community support

You can check this page : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/explore-jira-cloud-plans/

2. How much storage have we used so far, and where can I check this information?

2 GB file storage is allocated to free plan. please check on where you can see the storage for your products : https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/track-storage-and-move-data-across-products/

3. I am unable to add another payment method to our account. Could you assist me with this issue?

Please reach out to our billing team here : https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing?redirectSource=sac-wac-redirect#/

Thank You,

Prachi

Hi @Shivani Vishwakarma

You will lose the permission options (roles and advanced permissions), audit logs, etc...

See all plan differences here; explore-jira-cloud-plans

Current storage can be found by going to Atlassian Administration, select products and in the side bar your instance, then you will see the storage option. storage will drop from 250GB to 2GB
