In the new JIRA, how do I link to attachments in cloned tickets?

The file and image button only shows recently uploaded files but not attachments of a clone ticket.

The old format [^file.txt] also does not work anymore.

Hello Justin,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
The attachments show all recent files that you uploaded to different tickets, so it will not show the attachments of the original ticket.
We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of the ability to copy the attachments while cloning a ticket:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.

Related to the format [^file.txt], the new issue view uses markdown and not wiki markup as it was on the old view, that's why it does not work.
You can find on the documentation below how to add an image:

Regards,
Angélica

Yes if I clone a ticket with "copy attachments" then it would bring in the attachments but I can't link via the "Files & Images" button in the new editor.

If I was creating a new ticket and cloning immediately then the files would still be in the recent list but for really old tickets I can only clone the attachments but not link to them in the new editor.

* Any way to manually link to attachments similar to the old [^file.txt] code?

Hi Justin,

Using the new markdown editor you must follow the steps provided here. This is the most similar to [^file.txt] where it used to work on wiki markup editor.

Regards,
Angélica
