Hi
I have a Team-managed Software project. I'm trying to turn on release tracking for this project. I see that to do that i need to turn on Development under project settings, but i don't see this option at all. What am i missing?
Thx

Hi Meera,
For release tracking, I would separate two things that sound similar in Jira:
- Releases / versions
- Development / code
You normally do not need the Development feature just to track releases. Development is more about connected code activity, such as branches, commits, and pull requests from Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab.
For a team-managed software project, I would try this path:
1. Open the project.
2. Look in the left project navigation for Releases.
3. If it is not visible, open Project settings / Features and check whether Releases can be enabled.
4. Create a version/release.
5. Add that version to work items using the Fix versions field.
If what you need is commit/PR visibility on work items, then look for the code/development integration path instead. But if the goal is release tracking, Releases and Fix versions are the part I would focus on first.
Hello and Welcome to Atlassian Community @Meera Subramanian
We are talking here about 2 separate features
The confusion here is the difference between "Development" and "Releases." The Development (or Code) feature is strictly for repository integrations like Bitbucket, while version tracking is handled entirely by the "Releases" feature.

Hi @Meera Subramanian
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Did you check the "+" button on the board view?
In my Team-Managed project, in the Feature section, that is not available for turning on/off. But I have added it via the "+" button.
