Hello All,
I trust this message find's you all well?
Please could someone from Atlassian (Jira) answer the following question:
We Created A In Sprint Bug/Defect In The Last Project P.I, The Project Was Closed Down On 13/01/2021, Lucky I Downloaded All The Bugs/Defects Into M.S Excel, And Clicked Closed In Order To Close The Story Down.
However We Have Now Created A New Project P.I And I Am Unable To Find The In Sprint Bug/Defect From My Downloaded List In Atlassian (Jira)? I Have Been Advised These May Have Been Deleted, When I Asked Who By, There Is No Audit Trail For This? I Have 16 In Sprint/Bugs Defects Missing As Unable To Locate In Atlassian (Jira)?
Is There Any Way We Can Restore Back To 13/01/2021?
The "may have been deleted" message is shown when you try to directly hit an issue that has been either deleted or hidden from you.
I would check:
Can you see the project the issue should be in? (If you can see other issues in the project, that's a yes)
Does the project have an "issue security scheme" set
If it does have a security scheme, then are you included in all the levels (a security scheme says things like "if security level on this issue = X, then only group Y and user Z can see it")
If the issue is not hidden from you by security or permissions, then yes, it has been deleted. There may be a record in the admin audit log if that is enabled.
Yes, you can roll back, but only if you took a backup and you are happy to lose all the changes made since the backup was taken.
Good Afternoon Nic Brough,
Thank you for your quick response.
In regards to your answers:
1. We have not used the "Delete" functionality manually.
2. I can see the project where the issue should exist. We can see other issues which have been logged.
3. In regards to the "Issue Security Scheme", I will get our administrators to check this.
Thanks for your help and support on this. = )
