Did JIRA Cloud changed the UI recently?
When I run a filter, it will show about 100 Epics.
When I click on the epic, I want to see the whole epic, not just a panel.
There are options missing at the top of the screen.
“Back”
the arrow for previous epic “<“
the arrow for the next epic “>
These options are invaluable for when my Team and I present the epics to our project teams.
Now it looks like this.
In the past, it looks like this.
Hi @Benjamin Zhou , what you're hitting is the side panel. From a filter, clicking an epic now opens it in the right-hand "Jira work item" pane, and the Back button and the previous/next arrows only live in the full-page view, so from the pane they look gone. Open the epic, then use the open in full screen icon at the top-right of that panel to switch it to the full view, and the Back and the next and previous navigation come straight back. It's a personal view preference, not an admin setting, so it sticks for you once you switch and everyone sets their own
@Germán Morales Thank you very much for your help! I think you are talking about this button.
When I use "full-page view", there is no the Back and the next and previous navigation come straight back.
Could you please tell me more about this issue?

I tested this in a separate instance and checked Atlassian's announcements, so here is the confirmed picture. The Back link and the up and down previous/next arrows belonged to the old issue navigator, which Atlassian has retired: the toggle to switch back was removed in September 2025 and the old search was fully replaced in November 2025. There is no setting left that brings those buttons back.
The supported replacement for moving through a filter is the side panel plus the keyboard. Run your filter, click the first epic so it opens in the right-hand panel, then press J for the next item and K for the previous one, and the panel steps through the list for you. Press ? to see the shortcuts. That is the closest thing now to the old next/previous arrows for presenting.
The trade-off you ran into is real: the panel keeps that navigation but is narrower, while full screen shows the whole epic but drops the in-list stepping. If you want the dedicated next/previous button back, there is an open suggestion to vote for and watch, JRACLOUD-32087. Background on the retirement is here: Deprecation of the old work item search.
