Importing Tasks from one Jira to Other

Dayananda Venkatesha February 13, 2018

HI Guys

we had 2 instances are JIRA in our company. when we got Jira 02 up and running, we had to import the projects and stories from jira 01 via csv import, not sure why that import not included the tasks. so i was just searching how i can export tasks from JIRA01 and import them to JIRA02?

i searched in google and atlassian, all i am getting is Jira csv imports and external system imports. Please let me know if you guys need any more information to help me out on this.

thanks in advance

daya

If you've looked through Atlassian documentation at all, you would have seen

  1. A method to take the whole of Jira 1 to Jira 2 (destroying what was in Jira 2 already)
  2. Project import (backup the whole of Jira 1, import issues from the backup into one pre-configured project)
  3. CSV import
  4. External import
  5. Add-ons to do the pre-configuration in point 2 automatically, and handle the issue migrations without a full backup

The first thing to do is work out what you really want.  Importing a whole system?  One project?  All data, or just the plain fields?
