I have done a bulk import of issues from one board to another. I made sure the column labels from the previous board were re-created in the new board.
After successful import, no issues are appearing on the board for the new project. However, when I go to configure board, the board shows that there are issues matching the labels in each column. Yet when I go back to the board, nothing is appearing. I do not have any filters set. What am I missing?
Hello @Tim Suchodolski
Note that issues exist in Projects, not in Boards. Boards are just a way to view and manipulate issues that exist in Projects.
Boards use Filters to select which issues will be displayed.
To help you with this issue, please provide the following information:
1. This screen does not match the views I see in Jira Cloud. Can you confirm for us that you are indeed using Jira Cloud? If you are your URL for the instance will be similar to https://something.atlassian.net
2. Is this a Kanban board or a Scrum board?
If it is a scrum board issues will display on the board itself only if they have been assigned to a sprint that has been started.
3. Can you provide a full screen image? I'm wondering if you have a list of options for similar to this:
4. If you have the General option, please navigate there and provide us the details for the Filter Query. Also for the Subfilter if you see that option (applicable only to Kanban boards).
1. I can confirm I am using Jira cloud, my org has a custom url
2. I created a new software project with the kanban template
3. I do not see those options, here are some screenshots:

Thank you for those details.
I can now tell that you are using a Team Managed software project. For that you won't see the other options I showed in my image.
Team Managed projects have a board that retrieves all issues associated with the project.
With Team Managed projects that use a Kanban board and have the Backlog activated, you have to go to the Backlog screen and drag issues from the Backlog section of the list to the Board section of the list.
Only the issues in the Board section of the list will actually display on the Board view.
If you are familiar with Kanban boards for Company Managed projects, the functionality is different. There a Kanban board with a Backlog will display issues either in the Backlog or the Board based on the status of the issue. With Team Managed projects an issue in any status can be in either the Backlog or the Board.
