Immediate 500 error and then redirect to a 503 error - Fresh install

So i am trying to do a fresh install using a MSSql server. I go through the install, get to the sql info, then test the connection. 

It writes all the DB tables to the database and then i get an immediate 500 error then redirected to an errors.jsp page that is either blank or gives me a 503 error. 

I've uninstalled, rebooted, fresh installed again. Same thing . Cant get past that portion to start setting things up or to import my exported xml file from the trial embedded DB

Check atlassian-jira.log file for any errors while installing.

And confirm you're using supported platforms

I figured it out. It was the collation. I didnt have it as case-insentive.
