Jira is often not handling images, of the same size and type previously allowed. Now to save a comment, QA, developers, and Architects have to jump through hoops.
If you go back to how Jira worked about December 2025, this was not a problem.
Please fix this issue as a top priority, image uploads in comments is critical for bug tracking software, which is what we use Jira for. If it becomes too painful to upload images, JIRA is not a viable option anymore.
Hello @Jeff Conrad
What is the actual issue you are encountering?
Have you reported the problem to your Jira Admins? And have they reported it to Atlassian technical Support?
We are using jira cloud. Simply adding screenshot capture images to comments is causing inability to save a lot of the time now, seemingly more frequent than last year, never encountered this issue, took it as expectation that simple screenshot adds to comments are no issue.

Is the Save button disabled? Do you get an error message?
How is the image being added? Is it being pasted? Is it being uploaded?
