If you remove Portfolio do you lose the Initiative/Epic (parent-link) hierarchy?

Our plugin expired and now all our linked epics are gone.  Thinking these two things are related.  Any way to fix this?

Yes, it is the feature of Portfolio. So you will loose that functionality
