If after the trial period I would want to change the Base URL, is that possible? How?

On Server - change your DNS/routing to land on the new url, then go to admin -> general configuration and change the base url.

On Cloud - you can't change it directly, you have to do a "move" rather than "change": You can buy a new Cloud system, export from the old one, and import it all on to the new one, and then shut down (or not pay for) the old Cloud system.
