Hello @Bret Hicks

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you provide some more context for this idea?

Are you referring to Atlassian Cloud Organizations, under with Sites with Atlassian Application Subscription exist?

Or are you talking about customer Organizations used within the Jira Service Management app?

How do these Organizations relate to your verified domains?

Are you trying to prevent managed users from your verified domains from creating Organizations?

Can you provide a scenario that could occur currently that you would want to prevent? Use sample data/names/domains to help make the scenario clear.

Thank you for that clarification.

So you are asking for something different from that Change Request; specifically preventing managed users from your verified domains from creating new Atlassian Cloud organizations.

The creation of a new Subscription through the Sign Up/Try It Free options is going to create a new Organization under which the new Subscription will live. The only time a new Organization is not created is when the Subscription is started using the Add Product option within the Organization.

The request you are describing was originally documented here:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AX-1394

That request was Closed/Fixed in 2024 with the introduction of Shadow IT controls. Unfortunately this applies only to Enterprise plans and only to the apps within the scope of your Enterprise plan.

https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/manage-your-users-requests-for-products/

If you Enterprise plan includes only Jira, for example, your managed users can still start subscriptions for Confluence and that results in creation of new Organizations.

It seems like your request is to expand the feature to be available in Premium and Standard plans, and to cover all Atlassian apps regardless of whether they are part of your plan.

I have not found a change request yet specifically for expanding the feature in those ways. I encourage you to open a support case directly with Atlassian to find out if such change requests exist already. If they don't, ask for them to be created. And in either case, share the links to them back here in the community so that others may add their votes to them.
