We have 3 levels of prioritisation:

Epic - CEO/CCPO

Feature - CPO

Story - PO

I want to split Epics into Features and Features into Stories - and allocate Stories to different teams.

At the Roadmap view, I want to see Epic Progress and Team allocation of the constituent parts. But I want each team to be able to do Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning.

How do I configure this within a Jira Project?

Welcome to the community, @Scott MacColl !

Out-of-the-box Jira doesn't allow you to have more than two levels of hierarchy at the task level.  You may want to consider Advanced Roadmaps (bundled with the latest version of Jira Software) and/or Structure.

Advanced Roadmaps does allow you to have a rolled-up view of Epic progress.  For each team to do backlog refinement and Sprint Planning, you need one Jira project with multiple Scrum boards, or each team has its own Jira project.

Hope this helps.

Robert, thank you.

Is it possible to add/build another level of hierarchy while retaining the features in Advanced Roadmap?

No, you'll need to use one of the apps that can create more layers of hierarchy

@Scott MacColl I'm not sure I understand your question.  Can you elaborate?
