Hi Everyone,
I'm using the Jira tickets to raise a leave request. And using the Jira issue calendar to show on which date the leaves are created.
But is there any way to show the duration of leaves on that calendar?
For Example, if I took leave from 01-01-2023 to 10-01-2023 then all the dates will be highlighted from 1 to 10.
Currently, it is showing only the start date when the ticket is created.
So I've created the calendar in the work management type and its working for me.
But how can I show this calendar in my dashboard or in confluence?
The leave ticket is created in HR ( Service Management type ).
I'm Accessing the calendar from Edit Dashboard > Add Gadgets > Jira Issue calendar macro.
As we are not using the premium confluence, we cant access the team's calendar.
So we are using a free macro that's inbuilt with a basic package.
when we are adding a saved filter it will show all the tasks created or ended.
If any user ill takes leave from 1 to 3 then it will show only the start date or end date in the calendar.
But I want to customize the calendar to show all the dates 1,2,3 which are captured in the ticket.

Hello @ANKIT CHANDRA
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Are you working with a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project for these tickets? It will say at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left.
Are you working with a Software, Service, or Business/Work Management project? If it is one of the first two, that will be shown in the navigation pane on the left at the top just below the Project Name. If you are working with a Business project, the navigation is display across the top horizontally rather than on the left.
How are you accessing the Calendar?

Hello @ANKIT CHANDRA
What you want is not possible with that calendar gadget.
One option you have is to consider putting those issues into a Work Management project (if you also subscribe to Jira Software or Jira Work Management products). The built-in Calendar associated with that type of project can show the "duration" of issues.
If you also subscribe to Jira Software, another option would be to create a Kanban board from the Service Management project, and then use a Roadmap to display the issue durations based on a Start Date and Due Date field.
Another option would be to look at the third party apps available that add Calendar functionality to see if one of those will display issue durations.

It is not possible to do that.
The Jira Issue Calendar gadget natively available in Jira Dashboards and Confluence does not show issue durations.
If you must show the information on a Jira Dashboard or in Confluence you are going to have to explore third party apps.
