I want to find groups of an user using his email address because I don't have account ids

Hi,

I am trying to find user groups. I checked the apis for that, but those need user Account ID. I do not have account ids of users. I have access to user first name, last name and email id. Can you please help me how to find user groups with the help of those fields.

Or, is there any way to find user account ids with the help of user first name, last name and email id?
