I should be able to create groupings of tasks in Plan without the need to create a separate task or even another level within the Jira Hierarchy. Is there as way to do this natively, and if not, has anyone come across this before?
For example, I PM want to view our tasks in a WBS-style layout rather than looking at the board or the backlog. If I can group "Design", or "Dev" or "Discovery" rather than creating hierarchy levels above Epic, that would be perfect.
Again, I am only looking to have this in 'Plan'.

If not, can you provide a mock-up of what you seek?
I don't think that the Plan feature includes WBS as shown in the website above, but I found a couple of apps in the Marketplace that list WBS in their names. I've never used them before so I don't know if they would match your needs or what set up they would require.
Thank you! The work breakdown structure I'm looking for looks alot like that is shown in the WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira link you provided. The key difference, however, is that we are looking at grouping jira issues without having to create an Epic for the grouping. Still, this answers my question and I really appreciate the response. thank again!
