I set a custom field of a group picker type but it's not being displayed on the View page.

I added a default value (one of the groups I created), but it's still not being showed and I keep on getting the same one explanation:

"The field 'ServiceTeam' does not have value for issue WEB-1 and will not be displayed on the view issue page. Set value for that field so that it shows up." All other params (Project and Issue Type Scope, Field Configuration, Field Screen) are ticked as OK. 

Can anyone help with this annoying problem? 

(I'm new to JIRA so the explanation over group picker of type fields - one group, would also be very much appreciated because I cannot find in documentation any thorough explanation regarding the way that this field behave).

Hi Hrnjaz,

I've tried to reproduce this error on my test instance, but everything worked as expected, so I believe I'm missing something.
I've created a custom field Group Picker (single group) and added a default value. Then when searching for this field, I was able to add with the default value.

Can you please let us know all the steps that you followed?
Then we can try to reproduce this error to check if it's a bug.

I solved the problem, i.e. JIRA solved it once I relaunched the application - it started to show the missing field.
