I only see dashboards but not boards

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
My top menu does not have the boards menu option. Only dashboards. how do I enable boards? I need to create a board containing multiple projects.

I assume you are looking for Scrum/Kanban boards correct? If that is the case you will only see those boards if you first go to the project, from here you will see the boards.

No, i was looking for the navigation menu >>Boards. Found it in the meantime. It's in the search modal at the bottom
