I need to reset (disconnect) MFA for an external user. I only see an option for managed. I tried to create a non MFA policy but I'm unable to add an external user to that policy. I was trying to remove the user from the old policy, add him to the new non mfa policy, then add him back to see if it would reset the mfa. How do I get this done for this one external user?

Hi @Pamela Merkel

Welcome to Atlassian community and thank you for your question.

The security policies for that user is managed by the organization of that user, probably managed by the external company admin of that user.

My suggestion is to try to contact with the Atlassian administrators in the company of that user.

I hope it helps

I am a Jira admin at the company. I tried creating a test policy with no mfa and adding him there, then reverting him back to mfa but that didnt work. Now I discovered a known bug with this, where the "None" option doesn't work in the policy.. Frustrating. No current workaround. ACCESS-1842.
