Thank you. It's a bit difficult to share due to necessity to remove information. But this is what I can share.

Can you confirm that you are using Jira Cloud? Is your URL like

https://<something>.atlassian.net

I ask because I use Jira Cloud and my display looks different than yours.

I suspect that you might be using Jira Server or Jira Data Center rather than Jira Cloud. If you are using Jira Server or Data Center, what version are you using?

If you click on the three dots that are within the Epic block, do you see an option to change the color?

If that is indeed the color associated with the Epic, I'm not sure if there is a way to remove it entirely. I think there is an Epic Color field. If you added that to the Epic issue screen you might see the code associated with the color, and you might be able to clear that field to remove the color entirely.
