I have new jira users who can't access specific boards--how do I get them access?

I have two new jira users who were recently set up. They both can access jira and multiple boards; however, neither can access the same specific board. When either of the two performs a search for the specific board, it does not show on the pick-list.

Can you provide a screen image of what the users are doing when they are searching for the board? Are you talking about trying to include the board in a JQL, or about going to the View All Boards screen and searching for a board by name?

If you give them a URL to go directly to the board, what happens when they try to use it?

Has the filter that is used by the board been shared with these users, by virtue of them being in a group or project/role with whom the filter has been shared?
