Hi all,
I attempted to create child issue/sub-task which showed no troubles before my manager resigned. She was also the one who gave me access to my company's JIRA so I suppose she was the main administrator for this specific channel project.
Normally, when I created child issues or sub-tasks, it will automatically assigned to her account before I alter it to my account. However after her account removed/deactivated, I encounter this kind of notification when I need to make sub-task.
Since she was the sole administrator and now there's no one in the position. What should I do to fix this problem?
Kindly let me know and let's disscuss.
Thank you!
Hello, Good day. Please reach out to any other "Jira admin" user or "Org admin" user. They should be able to change the project settings >> details, default assignee settings.
If there is no other Jira admin or site admin user. Then please create a ticket with us at https://support.atlassian.com/contact
Thank you very much for the answer. I'll try to find another admin then.

Hi @Mohanraj Thangamuthu it seems like I couldnt find anyone with access as JIRA admin. To create a ticket, which one should I choose?
Also, it seems like to raise a ticket, I need an admin as well.
Thank you in advance!

Hello, Thanks for the reply. I checked your site and could see 10 site admins. Please check on your end again.

Hi @annisa_nindya ,
Welcome to the community !!
Default assignee is set in two ways.
You need to check in both the options and remove your old managers name. Project admins or your organization Jira admins can do this change.

Hi @Ollie Guan
Thank you for the suggestion.
How do we check all of these? Which page should I go to? I have tried to open "Personal Setting" here and others but I don't see anything like these points.
Or, should I become an admin since I am not one of the admin.

Look into your Permissions within the project (assuming you have at least project admin permissions - you are in the Administrators role), and look for the Assignable User permission - look into the roles that are under this permission and modify them so you can create the issue.
You also mentioned that there is an automation rule as well. Look into Automations and also the even where your manager was mentioned as the assignee and adjust the changes.

Ah, sorry, I've missed the DEFAULT assignee...

Hi @Nikola Perisic ,
Thank you for the answer!
Unfortunately, I think I am not an admin looking at the way I have no access to see Assignable User permission. I am in a junior position here so my tasks is only to create tasks, change its status and when my manager was still here, I have access to change the assignee in child issue and main task. Here is the look of my JIRA account
